Independent, AI-Native Game Studio

We build worlds worth exploring
and tools powerful enough to build them faster than ever.

Algorithmic Games is a small, senior-level studio combining engineering, art, design, and worldbuilding with AI-native tools to create ambitious games at a scale that normally belongs only to huge teams.

We believe the most interesting problems live at the intersection of gameplay feel, visual storytelling, systemic design, and AI tooling. Our first release, Natural World Simulator, is in production now; Doom Protocol follows it. Both run on our own engine, ExploitGem.

Our Games

Two worlds, in this order. Each has its own site.

01 · In production
Natural World Simulator

A wildlife simulation set at an East African savanna waterhole. Animals live by their own needs and the world around them; you find a place, watch, and catch the moments as they happen.

02 · Next in the pipeline
Doom Protocol

A five-team PvPvE shooter inside a dwarven megacity carved into a mountain, with a chained dragon in the deep vault.

ExploitGem, Our Engine

Our games run on ExploitGem, our own engine built on a modified Godot: large living worlds, simulation at scale and dense, detailed environments on ordinary hardware.

What Algorithmic Games Is

We’re a next-generation game studio built around a simple idea: hard problems are more fun when you have the right collaborators .

Instead of a giant permanent staff, we collaborate with expert freelancers across disciplines— engineers, 3D artists, concept artists, technical artists, game designers, quest designers, and worldbuilders.

Our structure is lightweight and modern: minimal bureaucracy, clear specs, deep ownership, and a pipeline designed so humans and AI can build together.

Who We Collaborate With

Building living worlds like Natural World Simulator takes more than code. It takes engineers, artists, designers, and storytellers all pulling in the same direction.

Engineering & Systems
People who love hard problems
  • Gameplay & network engineers
  • Tools & pipeline engineers
  • Technical designers & scripters
  • Systems designers who think in diagrams
Art, Design & Story
People who make worlds feel real
  • 3D environment & prop artists
  • Concept artists & visual dev
  • Level & quest designers
  • Narrative designers & lore builders
  • VFX, UI, and technical artists

If you’re a senior freelancer in any of these areas and you like projects that ask a lot of you, you’re exactly who we want to hear from.

Our AI-Native Pipeline

We don’t just “use AI” as a buzzword. We built our entire process so that humans and AI tools can collaborate cleanly: from engineering and level layout to art direction, lore, and quest structure.

  • AI-readable codebase with explicit contracts and invariants.
  • Deterministic systems for simulation, movement, and scoring.
  • Modular room & space design ready for procedural assembly.
  • World encyclopedias and design docs structured for LLM support.
  • AI-assisted concepting, story seeding, and visual explorations.

The result: less grunt work, faster iteration, and more time spent on the things only humans can do—taste, style, judgment, and creative risk-taking.

Natural World Simulator – Be There When It Happens

Natural World Simulator is our first project: a wildlife simulation set at an East African savanna waterhole, in production now on our own engine, ExploitGem, and built by our AI-native studio.

Animals live by their own needs and the world around them: water, food, weather, seasons, and predators. You find a place, watch through binoculars and a camera, and catch the moments as they happen.

There is no rewind. Being there is the game.

The first release is planned on Steam for Windows PC (desktop).

Doom Protocol – Next in the Pipeline

Doom Protocol is our second project, after Natural World Simulator: a five-team PvPvE shooter set inside a dwarven civilization carved into a mountain, with housing districts, breweries, cathedrals, industrial forges, raw mining caverns, and a chained dragon in the deep vault.

Players drop from orbit, establish forward bases on the slopes, fight through dwarven militia and traps, capture control points, and eventually open their faction’s vault door to challenge the dragon and escape with its relic.

Collaborate With Algorithmic Games

We’re always interested in hearing from senior freelancers across engineering, art, design, and narrative who want to work on ambitious, technically rich projects, starting with Natural World Simulator.

Tell us who you are, what you’re exceptional at, and which kinds of problems you’d love to tackle—networking, combat feel, level design, concept art, environment building, quest systems, lore, tools, or something else entirely.
